2. Our Data Processing Principles

Soothing Noise was built from the ground up with Privacy by Design:

• No Data Collection: We do not collect any personal data
• Local Storage: All your settings and custom presets remain exclusively on your device
• No Advertising: The app contains no ads and will never contain ads
• No Analytics: We do not track how you use the app
• No Account Required: You can use the app immediately without signing up

3. What Data Is Processed?

3.1 Local Data (On Your Device Only)

The following data is stored exclusively locally on your iPhone and is never transmitted to us or third parties:

• EQ settings and volume
• Custom presets (name, icon, color, frequency values)
• App settings (audio quality, timer preferences, "Mix with Others")
• Onboarding and trial status

Important: We as developers have no access to this data. It exists only on your device.

3.2 Subscription Management

For managing in-app purchases, we use RevenueCat as a service provider. When making a purchase, the following data is processed:

• Anonymous Device ID: A randomly generated UUID to associate your subscription
• Subscription Status: Active, expired, trial, etc.
• Purchase History: Which product you purchased (Monthly/Yearly/Lifetime)
• Basic Device Information: iOS version, app version

What RevenueCat does NOT receive:

• Your name or email address
• Your payment details (these are managed exclusively by Apple)
• Your EQ settings or custom presets
• How often or how long you use the app

3.3 Apple App Store

All payment transactions are handled directly by Apple. We have no access to:

• Your credit card or payment information
• Your Apple ID or billing address

Through billing, we only receive anonymized sales statistics from Apple.

3.4 Data We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect any of the following data:

• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or other personal files
• Microphone or camera recordings
• Usage behavior or analytics
• Advertising IDs or tracking identifiers
• Health data

4. No Sharing with Third Parties

Since we do not collect personal data, we cannot share it either.

We never sell, rent, or share data with:

• Advertisers
• Data brokers
• Social media platforms
• Marketing companies

5. Data Storage and Deletion

5.1 Local Data

When you delete the app from your device, all locally stored data is automatically removed. There is no cloud synchronization.

5.2 RevenueCat Data

Subscription data is stored with RevenueCat as long as your subscription is active, plus 90 days for purchase restoration. You can request deletion at any time.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user in the EU, you have the following rights:

• Right of Access (Art. 15): Since we don't store personal data, there's nothing to disclose
• Right to Erasure (Art. 17): Simply delete the app – all data is gone
• Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): Your preset data is already local on your device

7. Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority:

8. Children and Minors

The app is rated for users aged 4+ (Apple App Store rating). Since we do not collect personal data, the app is also suitable for minors from a privacy perspective.
